June 22, 2022 — UF College of Medicine students, postdocs, residents and fellows can receive a complimentary dose of caffeine to celebrate the new year.
Guest baristas Colleen Koch, M.D., M.S., M.B.A., dean of the UF College of Medicine, and David Nelson, M.D., senior vice president for health affairs at UF and president of UF Health, will serve complimentary, 16-ounce hot or iced lattes or tea at the college’s second annual Orange and Brew event. Caffeine lovers in the College of Medicine are encouraged to visit two Opus Coffee locations at the academic health center:
**Opus at UF Health Shands Hospital (North Tower) on July 18 between 9 – 10 a.m. **
Stop by this location on July 18 to snap a photo with one half of UF’s favorite mascot team, Alberta!
Opus at the UF Health Heart & Vascular and Neuromedicine hospitals (East Tower) on July 20 between 9 – 10 a.m.
In collaboration with Opus Coffee, the event aims to energize College of Medicine learners and trainees and continue fostering an inclusive, people-centric culture. In addition to enjoying a complimentary latte or tea, those who stop by can enter a raffle for the chance to take home an Opus Coffee gift basket. Winners will be announced in early August. One winner will also be selected from students and trainees who engage with social media challenges from the UF College of Medicine channels, @ufmedicine and @ufdrgator, ahead of the events.
Stay tuned for updates and challenge prompts from the social media channels, and share your photos from the event by tagging the college and Opus and using #orangeandbrew.
