Ideas emerge from focus groups during Phase 2 of strategic planning
Students, administrators and advance practice providers have engaged with the dean’s office
July 1, 2021 – Strategic planning specialists have been busy implementing and facilitating focus group discussions among College of Medicine community members during the second phase of the comprehensive process. Students, administrators and advance practice providers have engaged with the dean’s office, and a number of faculty focus groups are planned for the coming weeks.
“The collaboration between Dean Koch’s office and the APP focus group brought forth excellent ideas on how to progress advanced practice providers as leaders in the institution and in the College of Medicine,” said Brittany Venegas, PA-C, MPAS, a physician assistant in surgical critical care at UF Health. “The APP Council is excited to support Dean Koch’s plan and to continue to create a workplace environment that is progressive for our APPs, with advancements in education, a focus on people and an attitude of servant leadership.”
