Honors Convocation recognizes student achievement
Second-, third- and fourth-year students honored at socially distanced ceremony
Sept. 30, 2020 – The annual UF College of Medicine Honors Convocation was held Tuesday evening, complete with video conference and socially distanced seating of 50 masked award recipients each in the George T. Harrell, M.D., Medical Education Building’s pair of learning studios.
Associate dean for student affairs Patrick Duff, M.D., welcomed and congratulated the students, who were recognized for excellence in the classroom and research laboratory, exceptional professionalism and humanism and service to local and international communities.
“This year, we are recognizing more than 100 students and presenting them with certificates, pins, plaques and, in some instances, monetary stipends. In addition, we are recognizing four faculty members and two guests for their exceptional loyalty and service to the College of Medicine,” Duff said.
