Communications Specialist, UF College of Medicine

Scott Hunter is a communications specialist for the UF College of Medicine, where he manages the communications needs of the University of Florida Department of Surgery, Congenital Heart Center, and the Department of Urology. In this role, Scott creates and produces digital and physical content, manages online presences, and supports the clinical, educational, and research goals of each department. Prior to joining the University of Florida in 2023 as an editorial assistant in the Department of Anesthesiology, he worked for 15 years as a teacher in programs supporting Alachua County’s at-risk student population. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida.
