- Dani Zander, M.D. ’86, has been named the 2025 recipient of the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) Robbins Distinguished Educator Award. Zander is the MacKenzie Professor and Chair in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
- Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has appointed Elizabeth Yeu, M.D. ’03, as chief medical officer. Tarsus’ mission is to address unmet medical needs and apply proven science and new technology to revolutionize treatment for patients, starting with eye care.
- Earlier this year, James Duke, M.D. ’85, was recognized by HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and named a room after him: the Dr. James Duke Operating Room. It was where he performed the first surgery there more than 20 years ago.
- Crysta Kyrazis, M.D. ’18, has joined the outpatient medical imaging provider team at Wake Radiology in Raleigh, North Carolina. Kyrazis completed her residency in radiology and fellowship in abdominal imaging at the University of Michigan.
- Emily Quintero, M.D. ’21, has joined Baptist Health Primary Care in Miami as a family medicine physician. She provides comprehensive primary care that includes preventive care, annual physicals, screening tests, chronic disease management and healthy lifestyle counseling. Her professional interests include women’s health, geriatrics, cardiology, mental health, and community health.
- Attorney Jason Gersting, Ph.D. ’08, J.D., recently joined Snell & Wilmer’s Orange County office as a partner in the Intellectual Property practice group. He received his J.D. from UF Levin College of Law, and his Ph.D. from the College of Medicine, where his research focused on fetal neuroendocrine signaling and prostaglandins’ role in labor initiation and delivery at the end of pregnancy.
