June 8, 2022 — The College of Medicine’s Faculty Council, a group of elected officers, promotes the advancement of medicine by communicating between faculty and administration at the college and academic health center.
The council recently elected six new officers who will guide their colleagues during the 2022-23 academic year. The council members will foster high-quality patient care, cooperate with administrative units at the college in all matters of mutual interest, make charitable contributions and direct the energies of the members in the interest of public health and welfare.
Martin Rosenthal, M.D., an assistant professor in the department of surgery, began his term as president earlier this month. Rosenthal said he looks forward to serving his fellow faculty while on the council.
