April 8, 2014 — The UF Opera Theatre program and UF Symphony Orchestra will join forces with composer and UF Distinguished Alumna Stella Sung for the world premiere of a new opera, The Red Silk Thread: An Epic Tale of Marco Polo, on Thursday, April 17 and Saturday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Phillips Center.

Student tickets are only $10. Students can earn a free appetizer for two by showing their ticket at Francesca’s Trattoria, Napolatano’s or Romano’s Macaroni Grill on  nights of the performance.

UF employees can also earn a 50 percent off discount on ticket purchases.
