Please note this update on the renovations to UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital:

On Saturday, Feb. 1, the east entrance access to UF Health Shands Hospital (north campus) closed for further renovations. This access point will remain closed for four months until renovations are completed. Patient and visitor parking in the east garage will not be affected by this construction.

During this time, we’re asking faculty and staff not to enter the main hospital through the Pediatric E.R. or the MRI building. Please use the main entrances and don’t take short cuts through these service areas.

A new walkway along the south side of the MRI building is now available. We also provide complimentary golf cart service from the east garage to the end of the temporary ramp for patients and visitors who cannot make the walk. For golf cart service, call 352-265-0109.

Please be willing and prepared to assist patients and visitors who use the temporary walkway. Let them know the complimentary golf cart service is available. Updated way-finding signs will help guide patients and visitors to their destinations.
