UF COM celebrates National Physician Assistant Week

First-year School of PA Studies students celebrate Physician Assistant Week with info booth in Shands Atrium

Oct. 6, 2011 – First-year UF College of Medicine School of PA Studies students will celebrate Physician Assistant Week by hosting a booth in the Shands Atrium this week, Oct. 10-12.

The booth will include information about the PA profession and highlight the benefits of preventative care. Visitors may receive free blood pressure and body mass index screenings.

National PA Week is observed each year from Oct. 6-12 and serves to acknowledge the significant impact physician assistants have made and continue to make in health care.
