Shands Rehab Centers and Shands Rehab Hospital are hosting the 2010 Rehab Day in the Shands at UF Atrium August 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the event appropriately themed “Celebrating the Spectrum of Rehabilitative Care”, more than a dozen booths with special screenings, quizzes and drawings will be staffed by physical therapists, occupational therapists, clinicians and health care providers. As part of the event, Meryl Alappattu, a physical therapist from the Jerry W. and Judith S. Davis Cancer Pavilion, will be speaking at the monthly Women’s Advantage seminar from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The presentation, “Gaining Energy & Strength Before, During and After Cancer Treatment” will be held in the Auxiliary Conference Room at the Shands Cancer Hospital.
