A fun way to support first-year medical students

The College of Medicine’s class of 2013 offers a weekend of golf and activities to help support an important community-focused program.

Join the first-year medical students on Sunday, Feb. 21 at Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club for a golf tournament, activities and food benefiting the college’s Interdisciplinary Family Health Program and other class initiatives.

The Interdisciplinary Family Health Program addresses health and personal needs of the underserved community while providing medical students valuable experience working with patients early in their medical school education. The program also gives medical students the opportunity to work with students and faculty from the colleges of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine and Public Health and Health Professions.

To support the class of 2013, make a reservation for morning or afternoon tee times by e-mailing Salvatore Savona at deflax19@ufl.edu. Non-golfers are encouraged to come and enjoy many other planned activities. Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club is located at 9905 SW 44th Ave., Gainesville, Fla.
