Experience the life of Elizabeth Blackwell, first woman MD

The College of Medicine’s Office of Development and Alumni Affairs brings the story of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell to campus. Blackwell was the first woman to earn a medical degree, graduating first in her class in 1849.

COM students, faculty, staff, members of the medical alumni board and alumni are invited to attend Linda Gray Kelley’s presentation of “A Lady Alone – Elizabeth Blackwell: First American Doctor” on Thursday, Jan. 28. The presentation is from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the UF Cancer and Genetics Research Building auditorium (Rm. 101). Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to drgator@health.ufl.edu by Jan. 22.
