Medical staff honored on Doctors' Day, March 30

Dedicated to saving lives, improving health and quality of life and teaching tomorrow’s health professionals, our Shands HealthCare medical staff of University of Florida faculty and community physicians deserve our appreciation.

Doctors dedicate long hours to excellent care, extensive research and leading-edge training that help make Shands HealthCare one of the nation’s most respected health systems.

Established in 1991, National Doctors’ Day on March 30 encourages everyone to celebrate the nation’s physicians.

“We honor our Shands medical staff physicians for making a difference in people’s lives and helping us fulfill our mission to provide outstanding patient care and support research and education in the health sciences,” said Tim Goldfarb, Shands HealthCare CEO. “It is an honor to work with such dedicated colleagues. Thank you for your commitment to quality and service that benefits all of us at Shands.”

Help celebrate the medical staff on Monday, March 30, by wearing red to symbolize the love, charity, sacrifice, bravery and courage our physicians show each day. Listed below is a schedule of special celebrations. For more information on these events contact Kim Faenza with Shands HealthCare at 352-265-0373 ext. 80039 or leahyk@shands.ufl.edu.
