UF Physicians is implementing an electronic medical record system, Epic EMR, in the faculty group clinics in 2009. Epic EMR includes features that can assist medical staff in providing even better care to UF patients while at the same time improving patient safety. Interested in previewing the system before its 2009 debut? You’ll get your chance Oct. 14 and Oct. 15. Doctors are invited to preview Epic EMR during two sessions: 7 to 8 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14 or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15. Both sessions will be held at Shands at UF in  Room 6120. As part of the preview, doctors will learn more about the functionality of the application and how workflows will be handled. They will also be able to meet the EMR team. In addition you will be able to ask any specific questions you may have regarding Epic EMR.
