Jan. 13, 2018 — Dr. Sey Park, a 2016 graduate of the UF College of Medicine and a second-year resident in the department of community health and family medicine, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9. He was 28.
“Sey was widely known at UF Health and very popular among not only his classmates from the class of 2016, but also many of our current students,” said Michael L. Good, M.D., dean of the UF College of Medicine. “His joyful spirit and fierce devotion to patient care was infectious, and his passing represents a profound loss for all of us.”
The department of community health and family medicine will hold a service to celebrate Dr. Park’s life at the University Auditorium, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m.
In conjunction with the Park family, the department of community health and family medicine has also established the Sey Park Memorial Fund for Resident and Student Education and Resiliency Outreach.
