Tee Up for a Cure to Fight Women’s Cancer on Nov. 2

Cancer affects millions of women each year, and is the second leading cause of death for American women next to heart disease.

The Gainesville Women’s Golf Association is “teeing up” to raise awareness and funds for this important cause. On Friday, Nov. 2 the association will host a golf tournament at Gainesville Country Club, in which all proceeds will benefit women’s cancer research at UF&Shands, the University of Florida Academic Health Center. The event will include a live auction, celebrity luncheon and prizes. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $80 per player, and includes green fees, a golf cart, luncheon and golf shirt. You don’t have to be an expert golfer to attend – all golfers are welcome!
